Longest continuous international war went on for 30 years


The Thirty Years’ War, which was fought between various European countries between 1618-1648, is considered to be the longest continuous international war by the Guinness World Records. The war involved Sweden, France, Spain and Austria waging campaigns mainly on German soil, reshaping the religious and political map of central Europe. The war ended with the ‘Peace of Westphalia’ treaties.
