Adolf Hitler’s Telephone Sells At Auction for $243,000

A telephone owned by Adolf Hitler was sold at an auction on Sunday for $243,000 (over ₹1.6 crore), the Alexander Historical Auctions announced. The bidding for the telephone, which had Hitler’s name and the Nazi symbol engraved on it, began at $100,000. A porcelain figure of a dog, also owned by Hitler, was bought by a different bidder for $24,300.

The auction house describes the telephone as “Hitler’s mobile device of destruction” labelling it “arguably the most destructive ‘weapon’ of all time, which sent millions to their deaths around the world.”
